Although the rates we charge our customers for decorating are extremely reasonable, we realise that not everybody can afford to get a professional decorator in to do their decorating. So with this in mind Decorators Today have decided to offer numerous tips and reviews to the would-be DIY decorator.
We will be updating regularly and offering new tips as well as reviewing new products as they hit the market place.
So please be sure to come back and check for our latest updates!!! Thanks.
This months review is also considered a star buy, and comes in the shape of white emulsion. Good quality paint can be very expensive these days and its usually true that you get what you pay for. Dulux however have snuck in a retail bargain that is just too good to turn down.
Decorators Today would not usually advocate buying your paint from the high street. Top brands like Dulux or Crown tend to offer their paint to retail chains like B&Q or Homebase at knockdown prices, but in doing so they tend to make a sacrifice on quality. There is usually a marked difference in the price of trade products compared to retail products by the same manufacturer. Dulux Trade for example is a lot more expensive than their retail range, but the professional will tell you there is normally quite a bit of difference in the consistency, coverage and richness of colour to that of the retail range.
This is where their Dulux Rich Matt range tends to differ, and most certainly their brilliant white. The discerning customer can pay up to £34.99 for a 10ltr tub of Dulux Trade brilliant white in vinyl matt. Dulux Rich Matt brilliant white however is on sale at B&Q for only £15.99. We at Decorators Today have put the two to the test and can honestly say that the Rich Matt more than holds its own against its Dulux Trade counterpart.
In fact we would go as far to say that we feel it is of a better quality!!! This and the fact that it is less than half of the price makes it a very worthy winner or our Decorators Today star buy of the month.
