Carpets & Floors
This was a project completed in Crawley, West Sussex. We took a normal bedroom in need of a serious makeover. Anaglypter wallpaper lined the walls, and the badly artexed ceiling was warped due to a leak in the roof. After the roof was repaired, we stripped the ceilings and walls, and re-boarded a new ceiling using fire protected plasterboards. Then we coved the ceiling and filled all the joins to provide an attractive finish. We then skimmed the walls in gyproc easi-fill to achieve a perfect finish and decorated the whole room using care and attention to present our client with a bedroom to be proud of….
Decorators Today use only top quality materials to get the job done. This doesn’t always mean the most expensive. We used Dulux Rich Matt emulsion on the ceiling and as a base coat for the walls at cost of 15.99. We then used Farrow and Ball estate emulsion (powder blue) on the walls at a cost of £33.99, and finally Dulux Satinwood on the woodwork at a cost of £10.06. At a total cost of just over £60, this was very reasonable I’m sure you would agree. The fireproof ceiling boards, coving, filler etc came to under £100, bringing the materials for this job to less than £160. The work was completed by a top quality decorator in less than 5 days.
