A Recent Decorating Project in London

This was a project at St Pauls Community Centre In London SW17. There were 15 windows that were almost to the point of rotting. We gave them all a serious overhaul, using the “Window Care Product” system, and decorated them to our usual high standard. Shown below is a typical example of a window, where the edge of the cill was completely rotted through. We routed out the wood until it reached sound timber on all sides. We then scraped back all residual paint and wood stain, primed the bare timber and filled the hole with the an epoxy filler.

The window was then prepared and painted with Dulux Weathershield opaque woodstain, and the adjacent post painted with Sikkens dark oak stain/varnish. The end result was a splendid finish that will hold up to the elements of the British weather. St Pauls Community Centre in London can now enjoy atleast another 5 years life on their windows before redecoration as part of a usual maintanence regime.
